Does your toddler have this habit of leaving his toys everywhere in the house? Right now, my son likes to take all his toys out from the toy box which leaves a total mess on the floor. As a result, the poor me end up putting everything back when night time comes.
I don't think a toddler would be cooperative when it comes to putting back his toys, especially when they can fill one whole big box. Nevertheless, I try to get him to do so as he needs to learn to put back his own stuff.
So, what I tend to do is to get him to put back a small pile and I pick up the rest. Or I ask him to help me by getting those toys not within my reach as I sit next to the box. I have to admit that there are times when these methods do not work. I guess even toddlers can be lazy sometimes.
My hope is as he grows, he will create less mess and know how to pick up after his own things. I just can't stand living in a messy home but this is what I have to put up with right now with a little kid around. Grrrr!!

my girl now getting more lazy as she grows!
LOL. If we stayed at home all day, our apartment looks like it has been robbed! LOL. Fortunately, the poor person who has to pick up all the stuff is my hubby. I don't mind the mess myself. LOL.
I know what you mean. I hate the mess too!
Most of the time, he'll say, "Mummy and Lucas keep together" and I end up with 60% of the work.
Sometimes, I get fed up I'll threaten to throw his toys and he'll clear them quick. But he gets distracted easily by what he's picking that he stops to play with it!!!
Toys are an integral part of a toddler’s world. Most of their play is centered, around the toys they possess and the imaginary world that they make up. Therefore it is very important to choose the right toys for toddlers
